5.3.1 Rotation Transformations

In this section, the setup of the unitary transformations applied using half wave plates is discussed along with the choice of the rotation angle () of the half wave plates with respect to the horizontal axis. This choice is based on the Mueller matrix formalism to ensure that a polarization angle input to the setup of the half wave plate is equal to that at the output of the setup.

5.3.2 Half Wave Plate Operation
